October 2023 (2 of Cups R)
A connection in your life is coming to a close because it is no longer compatible. It’s a hard pill to swallow that people and relationships change over time. But the one thing about life is that nothing is constant. In this particular bond, you simply aren’t seeing eye to eye, which makes things difficult. It’s okay to disagree. But the issues in which you are separate are causing a pretty serious disconnect. Depending on your level awareness you may or may not realize this is what’s happening. Especially if you experience toxic patterns as your normal. Or if you have some personal healing yet to do. Take stock of any areas in your life that seem like they may not be meshing the same way as before. The most challenging aspect of this shift is that your emotions may not be an alignment with what is happening. Sometimes even when we love people deeply, it’s not reflective of the compatibility we experience. Give yourself permission to let go or readjust any relationships or boundaries within them as needed.
Shadow Work Questions:
- Where am I experiencing issues with the connections in my life?
- Do I feel comfortable ending relationships or friendships when needed?
- What sort of boundaries and consequences can I set to protect myself and my energy?

September 2023 (The Fool)
It’s all coming together! Exciting adventures and new opportunities will be presenting themselves to you. There’s a light-hearted energy about what’s happening that makes you feel like all things are possible. This is a welcome feeling after some recent events that have left you feeling a little low. The only trick to what’s coming next is to be mindful of the details. When our head gets stuck in the clouds, we often forget to look at the ground underneath our feet. Look out for potholes, rocks or other boobie traps that are behind some of the situations you have the opportunity to get involved in. Not all of them are bad. However, some of them have stipulations or rules attached. And these may or may not align with who you are or what you want. It’s okay to be picky because there are more than a few good options to pick from. This is also a test to see if you can avoid repeating past mistakes. It’s training you to lean into your intuition in certain matters and in addition, allowing you to dream bigger than you have before.
Shadow Work Questions:
- Have a dotted all my i’s and crossed all my t’s before agreeing to a particular partnership or contract?
- How can I celebrate and enjoy the positive things that are happening for me?
- Where is my intuition guiding me and how can I best pay attention to it?

August 2023 (Queen of Wands)
If you want to live a life that brings you joy, you’ll have to start expressing yourself more authentically. The passion you have is a driving force for attracting positive things into your space. It doesn’t matter if people think you’re weird or it makes them uncomfortable. That isn’t who you need to be around anyway. Cultivating a supportive group of individuals is going to be instrumental in this exciting transformation. Being brave enough to be yourself will remove people, places and things that have been blocking you up until this point. The only catch is that you cannot be afraid to let things go in order to get yourself into alignment. This won’t necessarily be an easy process. But it will be one that is well worth it to you in the long run. It will also be something that inspires others to burn brightly by showing up as who they were always meant to be.
Shadow Work Questions:
- What is it that I am truly passionate about?
- What are my values and am making choices that are in alignment with that?
- How can I share my creativity, compassion and love with others?

July 2023 (Healing)
Your body is letting you know it is in need of some profound physical, emotional or mental healing at this time. Either way, the only person who can facilitate this process is you. The repair that needs to happen can no longer be handed off to someone else. You may be able to get advice or techniques from a professional in this area which could help you understand what direction to go. But the truth is you know yourself better than anyone else. What others can offer is simply a cookie cutter formula that isn’t going to completely correct what’s happening the way you need it to. Instead of becoming frustrated, trust your intuition to guide you towards the right process. It will also help if you are putting in the work on a consistent basis. Focus on the signs and signals that your body is sending you. Try new things and do your research. Then watch as things start to improve for the better.
Shadow Work Questions:
- How can I be more involved in my healing process?
- Am I checking in with my body on a regular basis to see what it needs?
- Where are some places where I can be a better advocate for myself?

June 2023 (King of Cups)
Emotions tend to get a bad rap. But when they cease to have power over you is when you are able to lead from a place of balance. Most of the time our feelings can be a distraction. But for those of us who have mastered the art of not letting them throw us off our game, we can tap into ourselves on a profound level. It is from this place that you are being asked to guide others. If you find yourself struggling to ground or downshift into a neutral space, it would behoove you to spend some time investing in this practice. Being centered is the key to creating stability for yourself and others. In this particular case you will be challenged to lead by example. If you’re not walking the walk and talking the talk – expect to be called out. Your integrity comes from learning difficult skills and applying them in real life situations. The compassion and strength you gain from this make you someone that people want to listen to.
Shadow Work Questions:
- What tools do I have for managing my emotions so they do not take control of me?
- What strengths do I bring to the table?
- What is the most important thing I have learned about my emotions and how can I share that with others?

May 2023 (Sorrow)
There is beauty in times of great loss and sorrow. The pain you’re currently feeling is meant to alert you to something specific. Only when you are activated by this energy can you start to heal or fix the things that have been plaguing you. In the deep space of loss, one can find a vast amount of beneficial information. The catch is that you must get past the difficult emotions you are experiencing to see what is happening underneath the surface layer. The overwhelming feelings you are facing will not last forever. But they will stick around until they have taught you what you need to know. Nothing that’s happening at the moment is meant to be a punishment. Nor is it an excuse to wallow in self-pity. Or blame yourself for things that are ultimately out of your control. This is a deep growth process and a massive challenge from the Universe meant to bring about some much-needed healing and closure. Try not to get stuck in your feels or you’ll miss some life-changing energy.
Shadow Work Questions:
- How do comfort & ease distract me from paying attention to what’s important?
- How can I use pain to my best advantage?
- What messages am I supposed to be receiving at this time?

April 2023 (Temperance R)
There are many changes taking place around you and you’re not having any of it. While change can be hard, what’s happening now feels downright ridiculous. You’re being asked to adapt to more than your fair share of upheaval and reorganization. Other people’s choices are unfortunately seeping into your day-to-day routine and they aren’t ones you’re particularly enjoying acclimating to. What’s happening to you isn’t your fault. Although it does feel like you might be being punished for something with the way your emotions are skyrocketing off the charts. This challenge is being placed in your path so that you learn how to gain more understanding and better control of your emotions. When you learn how to manage your internal world, what’s happening in your external one suddenly becomes more manageable. This is not going to be an easy task. Nor is it for most people. So don’t be afraid to ask for assistance when and where you need it.
Shadow Work Questions:
- How are my emotions dictating how I react to challenging or upsetting situations?
- What tools do I have that help me manage difficult emotions?
- Where can I make simple changes to my life that will allow me to take these disruptions more in stride?
- What am I most afraid of as the world around me changes

March 2023 (Ordinariness)
Sometimes it’s okay to just be who you are. No special qualifications or extras required. There’s nothing wrong with being ordinary. However, your mind has told you that you have to work too hard to go above and beyond what you already are. Relax into the space and peacefulness that comes from being yourself. Your spirit is asking you to settle into new spaces and to learn how to be okay with being a valuable part of the group. As opposed to being the loudest or most ostentatious person there. You do not need recognition or to stand out in order to have value. That comes from allowing your inner light to shine and living in alignment with who you are. No matter how that comes off to others. Or how it changes the way you need to show up in the world. Authenticity is your biggest asset. Use it wisely.
Shadow Work Questions:
- What is my biggest fear about being ordinary?
- What messaging have I received that it’s not okay to be myself?
- What choices can I make that will bring me more at alignment with my values?

February 2023 (8 of Cups R)
You have recently walked away from something that wasn’t working but you may soon be regretting your choice. It’s not that you necessarily left a good situation. But more so that you didn’t have an accurate view or understanding of what you really needed before you took off and made some drastic changes. You cannot avoid what needs to be dealt with by leaving one situation and putting yourself in another one that is slightly different, but still equal in composition. What needs to be addressed feels too big to look at. But unless you reorganize the way you see your world and form a more authentic connection with yourself, you will continue to be caught in similar patterns. Don’t be afraid of letting go of old beliefs or facing your ego head-on. You actually can handle what you need to see and effectively make changes.
Shadow Work Questions:
- What is my ego trying to protect me from realizing about myself?
- What patterns can I identify that are making me unhappy?
- How can I start to show up differently in order to create a life that feels more comfortable.

January 2023 (Politics)
It’s time to get out of the game unless you want to end up drowning in it. Being accommodating is typically endorsed as a positive trait. However, you are trying way too hard to cater to too many individuals’ personal needs and biases. Mostly for fear of the backlash you will receive for telling people how you really feel. When we play the game of politics, we fail to mention how emotionally exhausting and draining this can be! It’s time to examine why you are afraid to set better boundaries, express yourself honestly and live your life as you see fit. Whatever opinions you have are not anyone’s business. And the choices you make affect you more than they do anyone else. What you want and need matters. It’s time to start taking a stand in the way you deal with others. You can no longer afford to live so inauthentically.
Shadow Work Questions:
- Why am I more worried about other people than myself?
- How is catering to others impressions of me negatively impacting my physical and emotional state?
- What is the worst that can happen if I express myself more honestly?
